robust and scalable solution but a secure one as well.
Managed Firewall Included With All Virtual & Dedicated Servers
The host firewall runs on each of your servers, providing protection from network attacks, or any other type of malicious program spread through unsolicited incoming traffic. The host based firewall solution inspects and filters all IP traffic; this includes both IPv4 and IPv6 traffic. The firewall tracks each network connection and determines whether the incoming traffic is allowed. All incoming traffic will be blocked unless it is either in the exceptions list, or is in response to a request from the server.
This adds another layer of security to your server in addition to the IDS/IPS
TippingPoint solution that is applied across the entire network. This means you can rest easy knowing that your server has the security it needs.
Below we have outlined the default ports that we open as part of our standard configuration. We can of course customize the firewall to meet the needs of your infrastructure. Some of these ports are required for certain software services to function, however, if you do not need this software services those ports can be closed as well.
